Images can be added to numerous pieces of content throughout your Stacks site. Depending on the size of the image you are using, you may need to crop the image to optimize how it is displayed to the visitors of your site.
Cropping Newly Added Images
- Once you have selected the image to upload to the content you are creating, click the Crop Image drop-down
- Select the most appropriate aspect ratio, a box will appear over the image indicating how it will be displayed. If further editing is required:
- Click and drag the edges of the box to further crop the image as needed
- Click and drag the box to reposition it over the area of the image to display, if the overall image cannot be fully displayed
- Click Reset Crop, to cancel any changes and reset the image to its default settings
- Click Save at the bottom of the page once all other fields and settings (eg. Title, description, etc.) associated with the image have been configured
Editing Content to Crop Images
When editing any content (Callouts, Files, News Articles, Resource Flows, Sliders, etc.) that has already been created, you can also edit the uploaded images added to that content.
- Navigate to the content to edit in the Dashboard
- Once found, under the Operations column, click Edit
- Scroll to the Image section
- Hover over the image, then click the pencil icon
- Select a new aspect ratio if required, a box will appear over the image indicating how it will be displayed. If further editing is required:
- Click and drag the edges of the box to further crop the image as needed
- Click and drag the box to reposition it over the area of the image to display, if the overall image cannot be fully displayed
- Click Reset Crop, to cancel any changes and reset the image to its default settings
- Click Save at the bottom of the page once all other fields and settings (eg. Title, description, etc.) associated with the image have been edited (if needed)
