Creating Landing Pages

Landing pages are a great way to build pages with unique layouts and navigation points that allow your users/patrons to interact with the content you choose to place on the page.

Each Stacks site will have a default homepage, which is a landing page in itself, and users with the Moderator or Administrator role can add more landing pages as needed. This article will focus on the basics for creating a page, the Layouts and Content article will focus on how to add sections and content to the pages you create.  

Adding Landing Pages

1. From the Dashboard, click the Landing Pages tile
2. Click Add New 
3. In the window that opens, complete the fields
   1. Title, enter a name for the page
   2. Language, if applicable, select the language the content is using
   3. Review and adjust the Publication Workflow settings as desired
      1. Tip! From the Menu settings section you can quickly add a menu link. From the URL alias section you can create a custom URL (path) if you wish to have something other than the default
         1. By default the URL for the page will be based on the Title, for example if the title is 'Training Page' the path would be /training-page (spaces will be replaced with '-')
   4. Click Save when finished

Upon saving, you will be returned to the landing page dashboard list view, here you will see a list of all landing pages that have been created.
