Should the need arise, users with the Administrator or Moderator role can make edits to a landing page, changes that can be made can include:
- Changing the page title
- Changing the URL alias
- Adding or removing sections
- Adding, moving, or removing blocks of content
- Showing, hiding, or editing content headings
Editing the Title and URL Alias
Edits to the landing page title and URL alias are handled in the same area.
- From the Dashboard, click the Landing Pages title
- Find the landing page to edit by
- Browse the list; OR
- Search the list by title
- Once found, under the Operations column, click the Edit button
- To change the Title
- Click into the Title field and update the name as needed
- To change the URL Alias
- In the Publishing Workflow section on the right side of the page, scroll to the URL Alias section
- Generate automatic url alias, check this box to let Stacks create the URL alias
- The default format will be the title with spaces replaced by hyphens. For example, if the title was Training Page, the url alias would be /training-page
- URL alias field, if the box above is unchecked, enter your own URL alias, ensuring it starts with '/'
- Generate automatic url alias, check this box to let Stacks create the URL alias
- In the Publishing Workflow section on the right side of the page, scroll to the URL Alias section
- Click Save when finished
Adding or Removing Sections
If you wish to change the layout of the landing page, you have the ability to add or remove the sections on the page.
- Navigate to the page to be edited
- Click the Layout tab just under the header
- To add new sections
- In the desired area click + Add section
- A window will open with 3 layout options
- 1 column, the section will be the full width of the content area
- 2 column, the section will be split into two columns both 50% of the content area
- 3 column, the section will be split into three columns, with a drop-down option to choose between either a 33%/34%/33% split OR a 25%/50%/25% split, select the appropriate option
- Administrative label, once the column configuration is selected, you will have the option to add this label
- This will only be visible to administrators when in this layout builder view and may be helpful in identifying the type of content being added to the section, especially if you have multiple administrators who manage the site
- Click Add Section
- A window will open with 3 layout options
- In the desired area click + Add section
- To remove a section
- Scroll to the section, then click the X in the top left corner of the section
- NOTE: if there is content in the section it will be removed (not deleted) as well
- Scroll to the section, then click the X in the top left corner of the section
- Scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout to save your changes
Adding, Moving, and Removing Block Content
Adding New Block Content
- Navigate to the page to be edited
- Click the Layout tab just under the header
- Scroll do the desired section, then click + Add block
- A window will open on the right listing the content that can be added to the section
- Content will be organized by feature type, scroll to the content or filter by name in the filter field at the top
- Once the content is found, click the Title
- A window will open displaying the current Heading
- By default this will be the Title value entered when the content was created, you have 3 options
- Leave the heading as is, by default this will be visible to your users/patrons
- Change the heading name, click into the field and type in a new heading name
- Hide the heading, if you do not wish to show any heading, click the eyeball icon to the right
- The field (and helper text field below) will then be "greyed-out" and cannot be edited
- Helper Text, if applicable, enter a short description or instructions to provide guidance to the user/patron
- This will appear as an 'i' icon to the right of the heading, users/patrons can click or hover over the icon to view the helper text
- Subheading, if applicable, enter a value to display as a subheading
- Sub-Title URL, if applicable, enter the full URL to the page you wish to direct users/patrons to when they click the displayed subheading
- Open in new tab/window, if adding a Sub-Title URL, check this box to open that page in a new browser tab/window
- By default this will be the Title value entered when the content was created, you have 3 options
- Click Add Block
- A window will open displaying the current Heading
- A window will open on the right listing the content that can be added to the section
- Repeat as needed or scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout when done
Moving Block Content
If you added content to the wrong section or just want to move things around on you page, content can quickly and easily be moved by clicking and dragging it to a new section.
- Navigate to the page to be edited
- Click the Layout tab just under the header
- Hover over the content to move, when the cursor appears as a 4-way arrow, click and drag the content to the desired section
- Tip: when moving content up or down on your page, it may be easier to adjust the zoom level on your browser to see more of the page
- Scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout to save these changes
Removing Block Content
If there is content you no longer wish to display on your page it can be removed, just note this process does not delete the content, it can be re-added to this or another page if needed.
- Navigate to the page to be edited
- Click the Layout tab just under the header
- Scroll to and hover over the content to remove
- Click the pencil icon in the top right of the block, then click Remove
- A confirmation window will appear, click Remove to complete the removal of the section
- Scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout to save these changes
Editing Block Content Headings
By default, when content is added to a page the Heading will be visible to your users/patrons. As discussed in the Adding New Block Content section above, this heading can be left as is, changed, or hidden depending on your needs.
- Navigate to the page to be edited
- Click the Layout tab just under the header
- Scroll to and hover over the content heading to edit
- Click the pencil icon in the top right of the block, then click Configure
- Leave the heading as is, by default this will be visible to your users/patrons
- Change the heading name, click into the field and type in a new heading name
- Hide the heading, if you do not wish to show any heading, click the eyeball icon to the right
- The field (and helper text field below) will then be "greyed-out" and cannot be edited
- Helper Text, if applicable, enter a short description or instructions to provide guidance to the user/patron
- This will appear as an 'i' icon to the right of the heading, users/patrons can click or hover over the icon to view the helper text
- Subheading, if applicable, enter a value to display as a subheading

When finished, scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout.
