Editing sliders can mean various things depending on your needs, this could include:
- Editing the content within the slider
- Editing, hiding, or displaying the slider heading on the page its added to
- Modifying slider settings
- Moving the slider within the page its been added to
- Removing the slider from the landing page its been added to
- Deleting the slider
This article will explain where and how to perform these various edits and functions.
Editing slider content
Important! Users with the Contributor or Editor role can only edit the sliders they have created; whereas, users with the Moderator or Administrator role can edit or delete any slider.
To edit the content of an existing slider, including adding and removing additional slides:
- From the Dashboard, click the Sliders tile
- Find the slider by
- Browsing the list; OR
- Searching the list by the slider's title
- Once found, under the Operations column, click Edit
- Edit any of the fields as needed, including updating the Publishing workflow as needed

To Add new slides
- Scroll to the bottom of the list of slides, then click Add Slide
- In the fields that appear add the content to be displayed

To Remove individual slides
- Click the Remove button, located to the top right of the slide's 'Body' field
- Important! Once saved, removed content is not recoverable
- Click the Remove button, located to the top right of the slide's 'Body' field
- Click Save at the bottom of the page when finished
- Edit any of the fields as needed, including updating the Publishing workflow as needed
Editing the heading, helper text, and slider settings
Only users with the Administrator role will be able to perform the steps described below.
- Navigate to the landing page where the slider resides
- Click the Layout tab
- Scroll to the section where the slider is located, then click the
icon, then Configure

Heading, edit the heading as needed
- By default, the heading will be the Title of the slider from when it was created. Editing this does not change the slider Title, it only changes the heading displayed on the landing page

Helper Text, add or edit the helper text as needed
- Note, the visibility of the helper text is tied to the visibility of the heading, meaning if the heading is hidden, the helper text option will be as well

Show/Hide the heading and helper text, click the
to the right of the header field to toggle the show/hide function of the heading and helper text
- Subheading, edit as needed
- Sub-Title URL, edit as needed

Slider Layout
- If needed, change the size and layout style for the slider
- Large sliders offer 5 different layout options (see the layout designs at the bottom of this article)
- Mini sliders offer 7 different layout options (see the layout designs at the bottom of this article)
- If needed, change the size and layout style for the slider
- Slider Settings
- Display Arrows, when checked, will display arrows on the left and right side of the slider for users/patrons to navigate between slides
- Display Indicators, when checked, will display indicator dots under the center of the slider indicating how many slides are in the slider

Display Slide Captions, when checked, will display the text entered in to the Body field as a caption on the slide
- Tip! This only applies to slider layouts that display text
- Enable Auto Play, when checked, will auto rotate between the slides at a preset interval
- Auto play speed (seconds), enter a numerical value to set how long each slide will be displayed before auto-transitioning to the next slide (when auto play is enabled)Slider Settings, select the desired setting options
- Enable Fade, when checked, will fade the images from one to the next when more than 1 slide is in the slider
- Click Update to save these slider changes
- When finished scroll to the top of the landing page and click Save Layout to save the changes to the page

Moving or removing a slider
If you are changing the layout of your page, or the content displayed on the page itself, moving or removing a slider may be needed.
Moving a slider within the page
Important! Only users with the Administrator role have the ability to perform this function.
- Navigate to the landing page where the slider resides
- Click the Layout tab, just under the search bar and page header
- Scroll to the section where the slider is located
- When hovering your mouse over the content, a 4-way arrow icon will appear. When you see this icon, you can click and drag the slider to any other section on the page.
- Once moved, scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout to save your changes
Removing the slider from the page
Tip! Removing a slider does not delete the content, it only removes it from the current page. The removed slider can be re-added to this or any other landing page at any time. Only Administrators have the ability to perform this function.
- Navigate to the landing page where the slider resides
- Click the Layout tab, just under the search bar and page header
- Scroll to the section where the slider is located, when hovering over the slider a
icon will appear in the top right, click this icon, then click then Remove
- A confirmation window will appear, follow the prompts to remove the slider as needed
- Once removed, scroll to the top of the page and click Save Layout to save your changes
Deleting a slider
Important! Deleting a slider is permanent and the content will not be recoverable. If you wish to keep the content but remove it from the page(s) where is has been added, follow the steps above to remove the slider from the page.
- From the Dashboard, click the Sliders tile
- Find the slider by
- Browsing the list
- Under the Operations column, click the drop-down arrow, then click Delete
- A confirmation window will open
- Click Delete to continue with deletion of the slider
- Click Cancel to cancel the deletion and return to the list of sliders
- A confirmation window will open
