Topics allows you to organize and draw attention to blocks of topic-based links that can be placed onto a landing page. Each Topic block can contain multiple groups with many links that direct users to internal pages or external websites.
When creating content using the Topics feature, we recommend you use the following workflow:
- Create a Topic Block
- Create one or more Topic Groups and assign them to the Topic block
- Create one or more Topic Entries and assign them to the appropriate Topic Group
What are topic blocks, groups, and entries?
Topic Blocks
Topic blocks are collections of topic groups and topic entries, these are designed to be placed on your homepage, or another landing page, as way to present links and content to other pages in Stacks or to external websites.
Topic Groups
Topic groups are used to organize content within a topic block. Groups are assigned to a topic block to be displayed on your site and can contain several topic entries. If applicable, you can assign a group to other topic blocks as needed.
Topic Entries
Topic entries are basically the topic content your users/patrons interact with. These are added to topic groups and can include multiple links to different resources inside Stacks or to external webpages. Entries can be created manually or bulk uploaded if needed as well.
