Stacks can be configured to search a variety of sources, using the EBSCO Discovery Service, external catalogs, multi-search (Bento), and internal website searches. This article will explain how administrators can configure how users will be able to select the search they wish to use, which can include:
- Horizontal tabs along the top of the search bar
- In a drop down just to the left of the search bar
- Or as radio buttons, which appear in tabs along the top of the search bar
Additional options also allow administrators to set a default search option and configure settings associated with the display of search results.
Before starting, depending on the search(es) you plan to enable, you may need to first enable/configure the appropriate EDS settings, Integration, Outbound Search, Outbound Search to the New EDS, or Bento page.
