Stacks can be configured to search using EBSCO Discovery Service, external catalogs, multi-search (Bento), and internal website searches. Depending on how an Administrator configures the site, users can choose from EBSCO Discovery Service, external catalogs, Multi-Search (Bento), and internal website searches by selecting an option on the main search form.
Manage Search Settings
- Navigate to the search settings dashboard page (Dashboard > Search Configuration > Settings)
Enable Search Options
In the list of available searches, place a checkmark in the enabled box to activate the search and have it appear on your search bar.
Default Search on Form
Choose which search option will be automatically selected when an end-user visits the site. This drop-down list will contain a list of all searches configured, including ones that are not enabled.
Style
Choose the format used to select search options. Dropdown is the default, however, you can also choose from Horizontal tabs or radio buttons.
Limiter Style
Choose the format used to select limiters (if applicable). Dropdown is the default option, however, Radio buttons can be used instead if desired.
Results Per Page
Set the maximum number of results to display in the Stacks interface (if applicable). End-users will also see a "see more" link if they wish to view additional results.
Authors Display Limit
To limit the amount of authors displayed in the results, use this setting to indicate how many authors will be displayed.

Show Embed Button
When the Show Embed Button is enabled, a button is added to the search form, allowing end-users to copy a snippet of code to embed the search form on an external site.
