The primary search bar is a prominent and important feature of your Stacks site. Depending on your site's configuration, users and site visitors may be able to quickly and easily select and perform their desired search from a variety of sources.
Through your search configuration, you can enable different search experiences such as tabs or drop-downs that allow users to select their desired search which could include a variety of integrated services such as the EBSCO Discovery Service, external catalogues, and a Stacks website search. You can also utilize our Bento feature to provide a search experience that presents results from multiple sources in custom bento boxes that allow for precise filtering based on subjects, source types, and content providers.
If you are utilizing patron login, users will also have the ability to save searches to a 'Saved List' which can be referenced from their 'My Account' page.
