Build 114 Release Notes

Build 114 was released on April 9, 2024, with the following fixes and improvements. 

Fixes

• Location & Hours Tab in Site Configuration
  The Location & Hours List view tab on the Site Configuration dashboard page was incorrectly labeled as "Header." We have corrected this error.
  
  
• Unpublished rooms showing on the availability grid for Staff Roles
  Staff users could view Unpublished rooms in the availability grid (/availability), which may have led users to believe the room was available when it was not. To reduce confusion, we have modified Stacks to hide unpublished rooms from the availability grid.
  
  
• Outbound Links are not always respected.
  Featured databases, Featured Index Entries, and Menu Items do not obey outbound link settings. For example, When a database is marked as "Featured," it is added to a sidebar on the left-hand side of the /databases page. However, these links always open in the same tab - even if they are outbound links and the "open outbound links in a new tab" site-wide setting is enabled.
  
  
• Body text is missing from Large Sliders.
  When a large slider layout with text was selected, the body text did not appear with the slide as expected. We have corrected the layouts to ensure text appears when applicable. 
  
  
• Index Pages Feature URL not working as intended.
  When clicking the title of an Index Entry, we discovered that end users were incorrectly taken to a detailed view instead of the linked URL.
  
  
• The program Manager Role is missing.
  We observed that Administrators did not have the option to select the Program Manager Role when creating a new staff user. This has been rectified, and the Program Manager can now be selected. 
  
  
• Room Name Sorting.
  We have corrected the display of Rooms in the Bookings features so that all Rooms are displayed in Alphabetical order.
  
  
• Today's Hours modal caching
  There was an issue with the Today's Hours modal caching, which could have led to incorrect hours displaying immediately after updating the hours for any location. We have made changes to force the modal to refresh as soon as hours change.
  
  
• The banner is not showing in all themes.
  We have resolved an issue that prevented the Alerts Banner from appearing for specific themes. 

Improvements

• Event Registration Emails
  Administrators can now customize the text of event registration emails sent to patrons who have signed up for events, allowing administrators to send tailored emails containing important information specific to the event. 
  
  
• Booking Emails
  Administrators can now customize the text of Bookings emails that are automatically sent to patrons. This functionality provides administrators with the ability to provide tailored emails with information that is relevant to the bookings.
  
  
• Anonymous User Booking
  We have introduced functionality allowing anonymous users to request room bookings when an Administrator has modified settings to permit users to book rooms without logging in.
  
  
• Time Zone Display
  The timezone of events, directory listings, and bookings is now displayed to help avoid confusion among administrators or patrons who might be accessing the site from a time zone that differs from the website's time zone. 

Incremental Release - Build 114.1

On April 11, 2024, we deployed an incremental release, Build 114.1, to address the following:

Fixes

• • Search Bar Sizing
    Updates in Build number 114 inadvertently altered the size of the Internal Search Bar situated in the Top Menu of certain sites. We've rectified this issue and restored the search bar to its proper size.

• • Error when accessing Event Instances
    Some administrators encountered an error while trying to load the Event Instances page. We've implemented adjustments to ensure that this error doesn't recur in the future.

• • User Timezones
    We've updated Stacks to synchronize user timezones with the site's configured timezone, ensuring consistency and preventing any confusion regarding event or booking start/end times.
