With closed hours, you have a quick and easy way to advertise when rooms and locations will be closed outside of normal operating hours. This is very useful for notifying patrons of closures due to holidays, special events, or other reasons.
To Add Closed Hours
Only users with the administrator role have access to add, edit and delete closed hours.
- From the Dashboard, click the Location & Hours tile
- Click the Manage closed hours tile
- Click +Add Closed Reservation
- Purpose, add a reason for the closure being added
- Rooms section
- If applicable, click the Apply reservation to all Rooms box to apply the hours to all rooms listed; otherwise click the box beside the Room(s) the closed hours apply to
- Locations section
- If applicable, click the Apply reservation to all Locations box to apply the hours to all rooms listed; otherwise click the box beside the Location(s) the closed hours apply to
- Dates section
- Enter the dates and times the closure applies for
- Click the All Day box to indicate the closure for a full day, this will remove the time fields from the date/time fields above
- Recurrence, if applicable click the drop-down field to select the most appropriate recurrence option
- Add another item, click this button to add an additional set of date/time fields to add more closed hours that apply for this room or location, repeat as needed
- Save, click save when finished
The To Room Bookings and To Locations & Hours buttons near the top of the screen are quick links to the Rooms listing page and the Locations and hours listing page respectively. Similarly, when in the Rooms list or Locations & Hours list areas administrators will see a Manage Closed Hours button that will bring them to the Manage Closed Hours area.
