At times, you may have a need to edit someone's user account for various purposes, this could include the need to:
- Change the assigned user role
- Change someone's username or password
- Change or assign a segment
- Change or assign domain access (if applicable)
- Block an account from logging into Stacks, or deleting an account
Users with the administrator role, have the permissions to access all user accounts and perform the functions described above when needed.
Important! Deleting user accounts is also possible, however, this can result in the loss of any content they may have created; consider suspending the account as an alternative.
To edit, delete, or suspend an account
The first step in editing an account will be to locate the account
- From the Dashboard, click the People tile
- Find the user by either:
- Browsing the list; or
- Search the list by name or email address
- Once found, under the Operations column, click Edit
- To Edit an account
- Make necessary changes to the user account
- Click Save when finished
- To Suspend an account
- Scroll to the Status field
- Select Blocked
- Click Save when finished
- Scroll to the Status field
- To Delete an account
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Cancel account
- A confirmation will appear, select the most appropriate option then click Confirm to complete the deletion of the user account
