FOLIO can now integrate with Stacks for both authentication and search capabilities. This article will explain how to configure the integration for Authentication, as well as configure basic settings for a FOLIO search as well as the My Account settings for patrons.
Authentication Configuration
- From the Dashboard, click the Integrations tile, then click the Authentication tile
- Primary Authentication, from the list select FOLIO
- Click FOLIO from the menu on the left
- URL, enter the provided URL
- Username, enter the username (this must be an admin user)
- Password, enter the password
- Tenent ID, enter the customer tenent ID
- Edge for FOLIO, enter the provided URL
- API Key, enter the provided API key

Authentication Type, select the appropriate authentication type
- Barcode / Pin - Important! this option is only available for customer who purchased FOLIO through EBSCO
- Username / Password
- Enable Manage Items, when checked will allow users to manage their items/checkouts
- Click Save Configuration when finished
Search, Holds, and Items
Additional settings may need to be configured for setting up the FOLIO search integration as well as Holds.
Search Configuration
- From the Dashboard, click the Integrations tile
- Click the Search tile, then click the FOLIO tile
- Enable Holdings Information, when checked, this will include holdings information (from FOLIO) in search results
- Enable FOLIO Query for Resource Flows, when checked, this will allow administrators to query FOLIO for populating resource data when creating or editing resource flows
- Enable Material Facet, when checked, will enable a material facet
- Enable Format Facet, when checked, will enable a format facet
- Click Save Configuration when finished

Holds
To enable holds for the FOLIO integration
- From the Dashboard, click the Integrations tile
- Click the Holds tile
- From list, check the Enable box on the FOLIO row
- Default, select the appropriate integration that will be the default for holds
- Click Save all changes when finished
Items
To enable items for the FOLIO integration
- From the Dashboard, click the Integrations tile
- Click the Items tile
- From list, check the Enable box on the FOLIO row
- Default, select the appropriate integration that will be the default for items
- Click Save all changes when finished
My Account Settings
To configure the display of FOLIO information on the patron's My Account page, follow these steps.
- From the Dashboard, click the Integrations tile
- Click the My Account tile, then click the Blocks tile

Enable, click the box beside each option you wish to be displayed in the patron's my account page
- Account information, Holds, and Items all require an ILS integration to display any information; also, Rated Items is only applicable if this feature has been enabled for your Collections
- Click Save All Changes when finished
