Administrators have the ability to remove all content that was created during an import, without the need to delete other data that is associated with the collection. This is typically done when:
- Incorrect or invalid data was unintentionally included in the .csv file
- You need to remove old collection items that will be part of a new import
In the event only a few collection items have incorrect or invalid data, an alternative option to a complete rollback is to edit or delete the collection item.
To complete a rollback:
- From the Dashboard, click Collections
- Find the collection to rollback by:
- Browsing the list; or
- Searching the list by the collection name
- Once found, under the Operations column, click the drop-down arrow, then click Import
- Find the import file to rollback from the list, then under the Operations column, click Rollback
- A confirmation page will appear advising that all collection data created by the previous import will be deleted and cannot be reversed
- Click Rollback to continue; or
- Click Cancel to cancel the rollback and return to the import file list
- A confirmation page will appear advising that all collection data created by the previous import will be deleted and cannot be reversed
It should be noted that this process will also remove any filter vocabulary values that were created as a part of the original import process.
