With the CSV Export feature, both authenticated and non-authenticated users can export one or more collection items into a .csv file.
It is important to note that this feature is enabled on a collection by collection basis, and must be enabled by a Stacks administrator in order for users to access and complete an export.
Enabling CSV Exports
Only Stacks administrators can configure the exporting of collection items to .csv files; to do so:
- From the Dashboard, click the Collections tile
- Find the collection to enable the CSV export
- Browse the list of collections; OR
- Search the collections by title
- Once found, under the Operations column, click the drop-down arrow, then click Settings
- Click the Csv sub-tab near the top of the screen
- Click Enable CSV Download on this Collection to enable the feature
- Click Save Configuration
Exporting Collection Items
Once configured, the ability to export collection items to .csv files will be available to all users (authenticated or anonymous); just note that this feature is enabled on a collection by collection basis.
Users can choose to export all or selected items from the collection:
- Navigate to the collection
- Click Select all records, to export the entire collection; OR
- Click the box(es) under the name of individual item(s) that you wish to export
- Click the Download CSV button under any one collection item to export just that one item
- Click the Download CSV at the top of the list
