RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds allow administrators to incorporate dynamic content from other websites and information sources directly into your site. Stacks imports items from feeds regularly and displays them in an RSS Block on landing pages and Bento Boxes.
Feeds typically include:
- News from popular newspapers or websites
- Search alerts in academic databases, such as EBSCOhost, and present a continuously updated list of relevant content to your users
- A Table of Contents RSS Feed from Academic journals with the latest publications of relevance
- An RSS Bento Box in your Bento Search experience and expand its reach beyond the subscribed content sources
It is important to obtain the URL of the feed itself, these will typically end in .xml but you might find that links are provided without an extension. Feeds will never end in .html or .htm, but could end in .php. You can use https://validator.w3.org to ensure that you identified a valid feed URL.
