On August 21, 2023, we rolled out Build 101 for all Stacks 4.0 websites. This update includes numerous enhancements aimed at improving the Stacks experience. It is the result of valuable user feedback and places a significant emphasis on enhancing the stability, performance, and overall functionality of Stacks.
Improvements
- Improvements to Overdrive search results
We've implemented several enhancements to the OverDrive search results. These improvements ensure that even anonymous users can now see the availability of items and access call-to-action buttons for checking out or placing holds on items. - Accessibility for Hamburger Menu
Ensuring website accessibility is crucial for providing an inclusive online experience to all users. In line with this importance, we addressed an issue where the hamburger menu button was not responding to the Enter key. Changes were implemented to guarantee that the Hamburger menu can now be accessed and opened using the Enter key, enhancing usability for a wider range of users.
Fixes
- Index Entries URL not redirecting
We have resolved an issue that prevented users from being properly redirected to the intended endpoint when clicking the URL on an Index entry. Instead, the page would refresh, keeping users on the index entry detail page. - EDS Advanced Search not rendering correctly
The Advanced EDS Search within Stacks 4.0 had encountered an issue where it wasn't employing the necessary filter coding to ensure the accurate structuring of an Advanced search and the subsequent delivery of the intended results. This has been resolved in Build 101.
