Staring from September 29, 2023, we deployed Stacks 4.0 Build 104 across all Stacks websites. This release was primarily focused on incorporating improvements based on user input, aimed at elevating the overall Stacks user experience.
Improvements
- Directory Listings Landing Page Block
.
An additional landing page block designed for Directory listings is now available, offering site administrators the flexibility to include either all directory listings or specific ones in the block, enabling the listings to be featured on a landing page. - Related Events
Upcoming events with matching filter vocabulary terms will now appear at the bottom of an event detail page. This feature is intended to provide users and patrons with information about related or similar events that may be of interest to them. - Overdrive Integration Improvement: Show Advantage titles in search results.
We have enhanced the Overdrive integration within Stacks to show Advantage titles in search results for patrons who are successfully logged into the site. - Fitch Connect Integration Improvement: Query additional content types.
We have adjusted the Fitch Connect Integration to expand its search capabilities, now allowing retrieval of both report data and organizational data, whereas previously it was limited to the latter.
Fixes
- Inserting a hyperlink into an image causes a loss of formatting.
Previously, when applying a hyperlink to an image via the WYSIWYG editor, it was noted that the formatting was compromised, causing the images to shift to a left-aligned position. To address this issue, we have implemented changes to Stacks to ensure that the alignment settings remain unaffected when adding hyperlinks to images. - Inaccurate link label used when importing collections.
In a collection CSV file, a single field serves for both the label and the URL, with a designated delimiter specified in the collection settings to separate them. We identified an issue where the label text was incorrectly appearing as the URL. To rectify this, we have implemented corrections to ensure that the labels are displayed correctly as intended. - Google Translate replacing manually translated location names.
We identified an issue where manually translated location names were being mistakenly substituted with Google Translate-generated translations on the Locations landing page block, the "Today's hours" modal, and the Location detail page. To address this, we have implemented adjustments to prioritize manually translated location information over machine translations provided by Google Translate.
